That Datsun 510 front suspensions are suspiciously similar to Ford Falcon/Mustang suspensions with the upper control arm deleted. Particularly the shape of the lower control arm, how the link is bolted on, the very tall shock tower, and even the rear-steer arm that stops on a tab from the link.
It wasn't that astoundingly great a suspension, but it was pretty cheap - I guess Datsun decided to push the envelope?

Heh. It took a while for the Stangs to have discs for anything other than the GT, anything up to that point you'd be not overheating the brakes so much as expecting to die from their inadequacy.
